The evaluation was completed on the Monarch Riflescope 8-32x50ED SF with BDC reticule that’s top of the range in Barska Monarch range, coming from the stores at about $700 – $800 from a list price of $980. You may be able to get it cheaper than $700 but I have not found it. It’s certainly a beautiful-looking Instrument, and has been crystal clear all the way down to the x32 zoom. However, let us begin with a discussion about the company itself, because if you will buy a Barska riflescope that you wish to learn the background. This instrument needs to be reliable under all conditions, so how can Barska stand at the riflescope marketplace. The Business is well known for its Optical goods, most people being comfortable with the Barska camera range. Over the last few decades, the firm has wanted to make a name for itself at the searching scope marketplace, and now provides an array of hunting optical equipment including binoculars, rangefinders and spotting scopes and today riflescopes particularly intended for the higher end of the hunting industry. So the Monarch has not only appeared from nowhere, but has a fantastic pedigree.

The riflescope range provided by Barska is the Prostaff, the Buckmaster and the Monarch, in that order. The Prostaff are the entry level products, intended predominantly for amateurs looking for a telescopic sight for their own rifle, but not wanting to pay too much. However, they are great quality, and you get a great deal for what you pay. It is a shame that the quality of the other two ranges does not increase proportionate to their cost, but that would probably be impossible to realize. While the Prostaff range Provides a Fantastic quality basic range, the Buckmaster are better because they provide a larger selection of magnifications and objective dimensions, as well as better light transmission. These are three very important properties in a riflescope, and while they are significant improvements, the leap in cost from that of the Prostaff is a bit too steep to justify just these differences.

barska optics reviews┬ábeating the other two hands down in most attributes. The issue with the Monarch is that that there’s too many of them they are subdivided into an array of different products and it’s hard for the uneducated to know which is most appropriate for their needs. By way of example, you can pick from the Monarch first UCC 3-9×40, the African, the Gold, the X series or just the plain Monarch, which I will refer to as the norm.
